Although Autotex was officially registered in early 1975, the founders, Ron Dorsett and soon after, Bob Haselgrove, had been developing and trading in the textile industry since the early 1960’s!

Thanks to continuous investment in design and development of new modules and solutions and by keeping up with the changing market requirements, Autotex’s success has gone from strength to strength.

Angelo Morano joined the company in the early 1980’s and later launched the company into Europe and then internationally, particularly in sock automation.

In 1998, Autotex started a business relationship with a young and dynamic team of highly skilled precision engineers, “CenterLine Engineering” from Brescia, in Italy.

After two years building up a strong and trusting business relationship with Valter Molinari and Roberto Garzetti of CenterLine, it was agreed that the two companies should join forces and AUTOTEX ITALIA Srl was born in January 2000, with its head office in Botticino Sera (Brescia), Italy.

This signalled the beginning of a new phase which combined the young and dynamic forces of Center Line Engineering with the existing experience and success of Autotex Machinery Ltd.
